Meet the songwriter
I’m Hayley — the songwriter behind HeartMusic. Everything I write starts small: a feeling, a thought, a moment that won’t leave me alone. I’m drawn to stories with a little depth and a little tension — the kind that stay with you long after the song ends.
Sparks become stories & stories become songs.
I’ve always been the kind of person who scribbles lyric ideas on receipts, hums melodies into my phone, and argues with myself over whether a line needs just one more rewrite. Songwriting has always been the place where things click for me — where emotion, instinct, and melody finally agree on something.
Before HeartMusic Studio became my creative home, I spent years in recording studios as an audio engineer in all kinds of roles — recording, producing, mixing, and occasionally jumping in as a musician. Those years taught me how songs breathe, how artists work, and how stubborn a snare drum can be when it refuses to sit right in the mix.
Somewhere in all that chaos, I realized the part of music I loved most wasn’t fixing problems — it was writing the songs themselves. I’m drawn to ideas that arrive unannounced — a feeling with a melody attached, a phrase that won’t leave me alone, a story that would rather be sung than said.
HeartMusic Studio is where I follow those sparks.
I write the songs I feel pulled to write — emotional, cinematic, sometimes messy, sometimes sharp — and then I send them out into the world in hopes they'll resonate with the artists who need them.
