Do you offer other genres?

Yes! Our signature sound leans romantic and cinematic, but we’re happy to explore other genres upon request.

Who sings and plays the music?

After Hayley writes the song, all instrumentation is arranged, performed, and produced in-house — most often by Hayley herself, who plays piano, guitar, bass, and programs percussion and virtual instruments. If a live part is needed that goes beyond her specialty (like cello or advanced guitar), trusted studio musicians may be brought in.
Vocals are performed by professional singers, thoughtfully chosen to match the tone and emotional perspective of your song.
Every element is crafted with a producer’s precision and a songwriter’s heart.

Can I choose a male or female voice?

Yes. We match the vocal to the story. If your song is told from a male or female perspective, we’ll typically use a vocalist who reflects that voice. If it’s written in third person, we’ll choose what suits the mood and narrative best. Duets are possible too — just note that vocal parts aren’t assigned line by line.

Can I help write the lyrics?

We don’t offer co-writing, but you’ll receive a lyric draft for approval with light edits allowed. One round of minor post-recording tweaks is included.

How do I receive my song?

You’ll get a downloadable MP3 and WAV file, plus a printable PDF lyric sheet.

Can I use my song in a wedding video or slideshow?

Yes! Personal use is fully allowed. For commercial use, contact us — we offer simple, one-time licensing.

Can I give a song as a gift?

Absolutely! Many of our songs are given as heartfelt gifts.

Can I contact the musicians directly?

All communication goes through HeartMusic Studio to protect our artists and the custom nature of your song.

How long does it take?

Most songs are delivered within 1–2 weeks. Rush options may be available for an added fee.

How many revisions are included?

One round of lyric revisions before recording, and one round of minor post-delivery changes. Major changes may incur a fee.

Do I own the song?

You have full personal-use rights to enjoy your song however you like. HeartMusic Studio retains the copyright and publishing rights. We may ask to feature your song in our portfolio, but we’ll always respect your wishes if you’d prefer to keep it private.

Do I own the song? Will I earn anything if it gets picked up by an artist?

You’ll always have full personal-use rights to your song — to share it, play it, and cherish it however you like. HeartMusic Studio retains the copyright and publishing rights to each song we create.

That said, if your HeartSong is ever adapted, licensed, or picked up by a recording artist or label, you’ll receive 20% of HeartMusic’s publishing share as the original commissioner.
It’s our way of honoring your role in bringing the song to life — because without your story, the song wouldn’t exist.
